In September 2009 BWS, in joint venture with local consultant AMBS were appointed to provide design review, quality control, project and cost management services on this US$ 450 million design and build project comprising 65,000 and 10,000 seat stadia and all related facilities. The Basra Sports City will complete in 2012 in time to host the 2013 Middle East Soccer Cup.
